I co-managed the GeckoEye Project – an energy-monitoring and automation technology designed to mitigate energy waste and decrease monthly energy bills in high-end rental properties. My responsibilities included monitoring the Linux-embedded GeckoEye controller system, overseeing each rental property (installation and continued monitoring via SSH), debugging and improving the current code implementation (where the automation algorithm is scripted in Lua and LUUP), maintaining the current Amazon cloud service database for tracking events in Linux/Tomcat/MySQL, and designing a Java program to utilize the cloud service database and automatically generate monthly client reports. • Languages: Latin Spanish (field work), English (office work)• Programming Languages: Java, LUUP, SQL, MATLAB

This research group conducts research in experimental methods in earthquake-engineering, and I am working on implementing an effective force testing substructure technique in order to evaluate the behavior of high-rise structures by developing computational models. I am responsible for the computational aspects of the project, including deriving the mechanics of the physical system, designing algorithms to capture those mechanics, and creating software programs to run test simulations. Daystar is a private bilingual school in Juticalpa, Honduras. I taught high school and middle school math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Accounting & Bookkeeping). Additionally, I was in charge of teaching remedial high school mathematics to failing students before school twice a week.
