I have twenty-Three years of railway experience. The first eighteen were gained through Network Rail in a wide range of roles from Operations, Possession management, performance improvement, Project manager (Change), Project Operations interface Specialist and Customer Management. The last five years I have been Operations Standards Manager for RFLI, this role has given the unique experience of working within the Crossrail Project engaging with contractors and project teams to then transitioning into the BAU role. The various roles and departments I have had the opportunity to work within have allowed me to gain unique skills along with a deeper and broader understanding of the complex railway environment and the often diametrically opposing requirements and challenges faced by the differing stakeholders within and to the railway industryI am experienced and knowledgeable, with a proven ability to work collaboratively, this is demonstrated by current role in successfully delivery of the Elizabeth Line rulebook, operating instructions for the signallers within the RCC as well as leading the development of the interface management principles and the follow up work to deliver and assure the interface failures and degraded modes workstreams. All these workstreams required significant stakeholder management with many interfaces, different stakeholders as well as the project teams all having different requirements and constraints that had to be successfully managed. My current role has enabled me to learn more about assurance and safety within a railway project environment whilst still enabling my operational experience to inform those decisions and operational rules and instructions in their development
