Initiate and conduct research into the role of the microbiome in mental and physical health. Consult, advise and mentor staff and students on data analysis and best practice methodology. I developed a bioinformatic pipeline and accompanying documentation to enable staff and students to perform complex microbiome data analysis.

Investigator on the Rural Small Hospitals Emergency database project, an observational multi-site study to examine the types of presentations seen, and procedures performed at small rural hospitals. I authored four articles published in Emergency Medicine journals. My role included:• Study design and preparing the ethics submission and supporting documentation, • Supervision of casual research assistants,• Manage data collection and reporting,• Perform data analysis and disseminate results.

I am an excellent teacher as evidenced by my high teacher satisfaction SETU score of 98/100 for Semester 1, 2021. Lead a team of programmers to build custom software for staff and students of the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences. Software was primarily developed for Psychology research studies. My role included:• Interpret study protocols and write software specifications to give to my developers,• Scope and cost each project and allocate resources,• Perform quality assurance, and ensure IP/data confidentiality.

I was one of two programmers on a $6m project for the Tasmanian motor registry. I telecommuted to Tasmania to migrate state-wide data from an old legacy system to a new system. This involved interpreting complex business rules to convert data into the correct format and structure.Key achievement: This large project was delivered on time with no errors, all with very minimal staffing.

Administer all of the University’s database systems within the central unix clusters. Developed and man- aged university-wide software for HR, personnel, pay- roll, research information and student management.• Accreditation: Oracle Database Administrator Cer- tified Professional (OCP), Oracle Education, Sydney NSW, 2006• Key achievement: I created programming standards that led to an increase in code readability and a decrease in maintenance time across the programming department.
