I was in charge of the budget and all the planning for hosting fund-raising and public holidays and themed birthdays and the queen holiday and all the requirements that I needed to meet. Before I would start sorting everything for my events I would always reach out to the public by letters or doing our own monthly newsletter or going to the church's and school to see if they would like to be involved in our events. I would resource for entertainment and hire them and book the area I want to host the event. I also would take the time to go and get decorations for the event and arrange refreshments and food for the residential and their families and the public. For example I was hosting a 1930s tea party day as a lot of the residents have dementia so it was good for them for a memory day once in a while and I would hire people to come in in 1930s clothes and we would make food from that time like tea cakes, scones, certain biscuits and the way they made there teas etc and the music was from that time and all the decoration so it would be great for them to reminisce back to the old days. After the event I would tired up and wash up and repack all the decorations away and make sure it was all tidied and ready for the next day.
