• Systems Engineer – Honeywell UAV, Rockwell Collins GS Flight Planning Server, GE C919 Display System Responsibilities: Low and High Level Software Requirement development for client projects including traceability, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and formal customer reviews; researched features to support quoting/estimations.• DO-178B and DO-254 Focal – Responsibilities included creating common plans, standards, and processes to meet the objectives of DO-178B and DO-254. • Remote Work Site – Worked from my home office in Westerville, Ohio with occasional travel to Phoenix headquarters.

• Senior Systems Engineer - Responsibilities include requirement derivation, refinement, and allocation to subsystem, design and implementation levels, including traceability. Responsible for verification review and approval.• SELCP and Cradle POC – Serving as the Technical point of contact (POC) for the integration of newly developed System Engineering Life Cycle Processes (SELCP) and the Cradle Tool by 3SL. In training to be the Battelle trainer of Cradle implementing SELCP. Developed the default schema for Cradle consistent with SELCP. • DO-178B and DO-254 SME – As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DO-178B and DO-254, provide oversight and approval of Hardware and Software processes, data, and documentation to meet the objectives of DO-178B and DO-254. Work with customers to demonstrate compliance with DO-178B and DO-254 on avionic projects including the UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter Enhanced Survivability IMU/GPS Navigation System (ESIGNS), Central Display Unit/Pilot Display Unit (CDU/PDU), Relay Panels, and the De-Ice Controller and Indicator Unit (DCIU).

• Process Lead – Researched, developed, documented, and implemented Engineering processes to DO-178B for the SmartDeck program. Responsible for creating detailed work instructions executing the defined processes. Additionally, provided process training and support to the engineering staff via group presentations and individual discussions.• RTF Chairperson – Served as the Chairperson of the Roadblock Task Force (RTF), coordinating the SmartDeck Technical Leads in identifying, addressing and resolving roadblocks and any other issues that hindered development progress. Led the RTF to look ahead and proactively resolve anticipated issues. Responsible for ensuring that decisions made by the RTF were in compliance with DO-178B, incorporated into the appropriate work instructions, disseminated to the developers and embraced by the project management. • Requirements Focal – As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for requirements development, provided oversight and approval of System and Software requirements development by reviewing work product and providing training/guidance to developers.• Certification SME – As Subject Matter Expert for Avionics Certification, led effort to complete project plans and standards compliant with DO-178B. Educated the SmartDeck engineering staff on the content and importance of the resultant plans and standards emphasizing the pertinence to their specific responsibilities. Worked with DER to complete Stages of Involvement checklist to present to the FAA. TAWS8100 - Reviewed and validated the PSAC, Plans & Standards, system requirements, and the software high level requirements.TAWS8000 - Validated, revised, and supplemented system and software high level requirements to achieve compliance with TSO-C151a & DO-178B. Established and populated the traceability matrix in RequisitePro, and performed certification activities including Level-C statement coverage analysis, package test reviews and modifications, and source code reviews.

Engineering Manager/Systems Engineer - Responsible for the overall development and certification of the CDU Key and Display software functionality for all Honeywell Commercial Flight Management Systems (B777, B747, B767, B757, A310, A320, A340, MD11, MD80, MD90, MD95) to DO-178B Level-B. Tasks included project estimation and planning, supervision of 55 engineers and technicians, and coordination of their activities on 9 simultaneous projects. Other managerial duties included staffing, performance appraisals and budgeting. Developed system requirements, software design, and verification procedures per DO-178A/B Level-II/B as a Systems Engineer for the MD80, MD90, B767, and B777 Flight Management Computers. Responsibilities also included customer interaction and ensuring certification compliance.Sales Engineer/Software Engineer - Responsible for supporting account managers as a Sales Engineer by providing the technical expertise to create system configurations meeting customer guidelines and providing accurate and timely proposals including technical, financial, and legal aspects. Responsible for technical interaction between the customer, Honeywell, Digital Equipment Corporation, and other parties to achieve a cost-effective solution.Senior Project Engineer/Technical Lead - Developed and maintained avionics software for Flight Management Systems per DO-178A/B Level-II/B. Responsibilities included all phases of software development, verification, maintenance and certification. Led a systems/software development team on the Boeing 777 FMS initial development. Supervised a vertical segment of the software development including training and directing the activities of entry-level engineers and programmers.
