My role as a Branch Administrator is both customer and administrative based. My main roles are to keep members’ details up to date on our system and use this system to bulk email important information to our members such as branch updates and events. This involves me having access to personal data so I have undertaken data protection training via UNISON and always handle members’ data sensitively and pay due regard to data protection and confidentiality requirements.I also co-ordinate our Annual General Meetings. This year I co-ordinated one face to face meeting and one virtual meeting. I arranged the room booking, catering, informed the members, collected information for the brochure and designed it using Microsoft Publisher.Another part of my role is to co-ordinate travel and accommodation for training courses and conferences which I do via third party companies.
