During an eight hour shift, I am the sole caregiver in the facility that houses eight residents. My responsibilities include preparing meals and snacks, completing household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes, answering phone calls, arranging appointments and rides for residents, as well as passing medications and providing other daily cares as needed, including bathroom cares, showers, and wound care. At Brighter Life Living, I work with clients who have a range of mental and physical abilities that require varying levels of care.

Sex Out Loud is UW-Madison’s peer-to-peer sexual health resource and offers a variety of services to students including free safer sex supplies, resource referral, peer counseling, as well as different educational programs that are available upon request. As a program facilitator, I am responsible for knowing and presenting on topics including safer sex, pleasure, birth control, and other matters involving sexual health, as well as holding office hours during the week.
