As a recent Dental Hygiene graduate from the Ontario Dental Education Institute I am happy to have completed the 22 month program which includes 405 hours of clinical experience. I am proud to have graduated from this program with first-class honours as I worked very hard to accomplish my goals. I, as a new clinician, now feel that I am very prepared for the working world. After many months of studying and preparing, in May 2014 I successfully completed the NDHCB. July 2014 is when I graduated from ODEI and I am now an active registrant with the CDHO.In today's healthcare there is a great need for competent, skilled and educated team members who are driven and focused in providing the best possible care with the highest level of accuracy and precision. As a registered dental hygienist the health and wellness of my clients is very important to me.One of my greatest qualities is my passion for providing clients with the utmost care. I am always focused on client needs by utilizing my ability to listen well. My exceptional clinical skills and eagerness to learn new things is beneficial not only for my clients, but for myself as well. I take great pride in making a contribution on a personal and professional level. Each client has their own individual needs and I am determined to address them to the best of my abilities and within my scope of practice.I envision a long lasting career as a registered dental hygienist and I am very certain that I will contribute my skills to the public by providing excellent dental hygiene care to all clients. My prior dental assisting experience has given me the background knowledge for the dental field. Being aware of how dental offices are managed is an advantage and I have gained a lot of experience on how to effectively provide care for all clients. Dental hygiene will be very rewarding and I am eager to provide the utmost care for my clients.
