I am a senior at Glenbrook South High School who is passionate about biomedical engineering, helping children and teens in underprivileged groups get access to quality education, and human rights issues. I am currently the Volunteer Program Head at Girls Computing League and work as a conference admin for Hak4Kidz in the Chicago area. I am a project manager for my school's engineering club, where I have led students in coding and constructing an EKG. I have also coded and constructed an EEG for a passion project, and I hope to do more applications of this device this school year. As President of STAND for Peace, I have organized multiple fundraisers to aid in Ukraine relief, COVID-19 vaccine accessibility in developing nations, and for Uyghur Muslims in China. These fundraisers have helped the club donate thousands of dollars to each cause. Additionally, I am the co-founder and CEO of The Next Step, a nonprofit organization that helps ex-convicts get reassimilated by providing jobs and mental health care. I am proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese. I also participate in the Vanderbilt Programs For Talented Youth Mentorship Immersion Program, where I learn about and research pancreas biology, specifically obesity and diabetes progression.
