I work with colour psychology in three main ways:• Personal colour – I give consultations to individual clients, preparing colour palettes that complement their personality and colouring, increasing personal confidence and creating a powerful and authentic impression.• Aura-Soma® – Using this unique colour care system, with over 100 jewel-like coloured bottles, I give colour readings by interpreting clients' colour choices, offering insight and therapeutic benefits. • Colour consultancy – I bring colour pshcology into business: giving talks on colour; offering consultancy on colour in branding, design and publicity; and giving Aura-Soma® and personal colour demonstrations at promotional events.

I work mainly in the arts, writing invitations to exhibition openings, for clients including Tate Galleries, The British Museum and University of the Arts London. I also use calligraphy in branding and logo design, greeting card design and calligraphic art.

Between longer contracts, I take on projects for smaller websites, covering copywriting, plain English, usability, information architecture and content strategy. Intranet migration project, moving the site onto the Wordpress platform, following Government Digital Service guidelines. I redefined the structure of the 500-page HR content to fit the guides and tasks format and was responsible for ensuring content standards across the site.

Two assignments: January 2004 - May 2005 and November 2007 - February 2009I began as intranet content editor then led the content team for the Cabinet Office websites. My role involved overseeing all sites, maintaining central pages and advising content owners on content migration. I also produced the web writing style guide. On returning, I became content manager for Financial and Estate Management, preparing communications for online publication and advising on internal communication.

Editing text and co-ordinating production of Patient Choice booklets for Primary Care Trusts, describing hospitals and services. The role involved liaising with print and distribution managers, and with data collection and web production teams.

Usability audit of the council's website, identifying and presenting strategic recommendations for improvement.

Editing and structuring a new website on diversity issues relating to film content, film audiences and the film industry.

Usability audit of the council's website, producing a report of issues and recommendations, and an editorial style guide.

Review of the Content Management System (CMS), focusing on usability. Part of a major redevelopment of the Royal Mail websites.

Writing on the health-related aspects of bioterrorism, to be used as a reference across government.

I started as manager of the Your life section on ukonline.gov.uk, then joined the project team to relaunch the site, specifying requirements for the CMS. I trained the editorial team to use the system and oversaw content migration. I moved onto a project to develop a central system for government websites, signing off the design system, information architecture, editorial guidelines and CMS. Finally, I established a team of content specialists to support government departments adopting the new system.

My role involved translating drafts into plain English and overseeing the design, production and distribution processes. I also worked on the 'Starting up in Business' project, editing copy and managing production of the 80-page guide which is now issued to everyone registering as self employed. The guide later won an award for plain English.

Arnatt Abrey Bennett is a small graphic design consultancy, specialising in business-to-business print media. I ran accounts including UK Sport, Bunzl plc, Airways Housing Society and DC Gardner Training. My role covered writing proposals and preparing costings, managing clients and suppliers, copywriting, proof reading, arranging photoshoots, passing on press and invoicing.
