I currently work in a 54 bedroom home as an Activities provider. In this role I am very aware of the different personalities, abilities and needs of our service users/residents.My job role is very rewarding and challenging, many residents have dementia within different stages and types. I have learnt the behaviours of each individual and adjust myself to their needs, the longer I have been there the quicker I have picked up on the needs of new service users that have come to live with us;Service users have care plans in place which will advise on their preferences which we include in our organising for one to one activities and group activities.After any activity, food or drink item given, I am to record it onto the database to insure everything is on the system for safe guarding and knowledge of interaction with each individual.I am skilled in organising, communication and data entry all which can cover a multitude of roles in different jobs.

In my position I conduct surveys and input the data for analysis, this all needs coding out at the end of the survey with as much accurate detail as possible.I speak to many people with diverse back grounds and am able to mirror the characteristics of the recipient at the other end of the call, I am a very empathetic person who will take care to address anyone's situation with complete care and have taken the time on occasions to just listen to those that need a friendly ear as I may be the only person they speak to on that day.

• Reception- Booking appointments and greeting customers, ensuring customers are all dealt with in a timely manner for collection of new glasses, adjustments and fitting and style of new glasses.• Optical dispenser- advising of styles of new glasses for customers that go with their prescription needs, making sure the suitability of the spectacles covered all aspects to what the customer would need and want, showing them benefits of added extras that would suit the needs and benefit them i.e thinner lenses and anti reflection coating.• Pre-testing- In the pre testing room this would be the fist part of the Eye sight test, we would use the auto refractor which would give a start reading of your prescription . we would then do the pressures of the eye which would use the Tonometer and then if the patient would like we would use the OCT machine, this piece of equipment would take an in depth picture of the eye which can detect any deformation that may take place 4 years earlier than a normal standard sight test could see• Contact lens desk- In this area I would be ordering contact lenses for stock and customer ordering, contact lens direct debit set up and teaching patients to insert remove and clean all varieties of lenses which are suited to them.

Sales assistantTesco - GosportApril 2013 to November 2018I had many roles whilst working at Tesco which started off as twilight shift working fresh food, I then went onto working night shift until that came to an end.Once working on days I had a couple of different roles that gave me the opportunity to expand my own skills into my work. I am a very confident happy person and was firstly given the role as club card champion, helping customers sign up to the Clubcard and show them the benefits of the usage and what they can use the points for.I was then assigned to be community champion which would involve fund raising and putting on small events in the foyer, I would help with donations to the community and take myself out to local marathons to help on the day and the local hospital for breakfast mornings. I would encourage the staff to take part in fancy dress days for good interaction with our customers. In all it was a very rewarding job with a lot of self satisfaction that came from it.

• Sales assistant• Working fitting rooms , which would include style advice with honesty and integrity.• Till sales, general serving for sales and returns, promoting other products and Newlook store cards• Window display and manikin dressing, ensuring the window display was inviting and eye catching for passers by to want to come in and explore the store.• General store cleaning and tidying of the rails, size ordering clothes making customer shopping more enjoyable.

• Reception Duties - Answering the telephone- transferring calls to the correct colleague.• Payroll- making sure all data of time sheets were put in on a timely manner into the SAP system then faxed to the head office for completion, this had to be done quickly and accurately to ensure the employees were paid the correct amount each week.• New Starters- I would ensure all correct documents were copied and submitted ready for the new employee to be put onto the system ready for the start of the working week.• Fleet- with a company the size of Cape many of the employees had their own vehicles supplied, I managed these by using an excel system that was colour coded and ordered so I knew exactly what vehicle was assigned to which employee and when MOTs were due and what site they were also allocated to ensuring I knew what was where and when. This made the management of the fleet easy for anyone to take over or look at if at anytime I was not able to do so.
