-Design of road grading projects including horizontal and vertical alignments, corridor modeling, drainage review, quantity takeoff, and cost estimates. Responsible for seeing projects from preliminary to detailed design and offering construction support. -Design of road rehabilitation projects including site visits and review of existing geometry, collision data, and other information to assess required improvements. My responsibilities included daily compression testing of numerous concrete samples along with the associated sample storage and recording of results, as well as other laboratory testing such as Proctor tests and sieve analysis as required.

In this position, I developed a preliminary bypass road design (Trans-Canada Highway section), including horizontal and vertical aliments, interchanges, and culverts.

My responsibilities included road surface profiling in the Avalon and Western districts of Newfoundland. During my employment, I created a comprehensive report outlining consideration and adaptations needed for a change of profiling equipment and reference index used.

During my research position, I was responsible to complete a Literary Review of Damping Technologies. I also completed initial drop test studies, setup, calibration and experimentation. My research goal was to find potential solutions to utilize drilling vibrations down-hole to enhance performance, while mitigating their negative impacts on equipment above-hole.

My responsibilities included completing a statistical analysis of industrial effluent discharge, based on limits of technology, and preparing a comprehensive technical report pertaining to this data which could be used in future reviews of provincial legislation.
