During my internship at Lalela, I had the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of impactful projects:★ Art Sessions & Holiday Program Support: Assisted with art sessions during Lalela's 2 week Holiday Program for students in grades 1-5. Prepared sandwiches for the learners and supported facilitation, setup, and cleanup.★ Mandela Day Mural Project: Led the design and facilitation of a Mandela Day mural over the course of three weeks. Managed the planning process, collaborated with high school students and peers to develop a cohesive design, and created prototypes in both traditional and digital formats. Assisted in transferring the final design to the wall and led fifth-grade students through the painting process. This project not only highlighted Mandela’s powerful message of transformation but also served as an educational and inspirational tool for young children.★ Facilitation at Sentinel Primary: Co-facilitated and led creative sessions with Lalela peers for students at Sentinel Primary, applying curriculums designed to foster a safe and inclusive space for growth and creativity. Encouraged students to explore big ideas, build on their personal experiences, and engage in meaningful discussions rooted in Lalela’s core values: listening, kindness, sharing, caring, creating, respect, love, and fun.★ National Women's Day Event: Contributed to Lalela’s Women’s Day event by designing 20 unique characters for different groups, creating name tags and table décor, and brainstorming creative, budget-friendly female empowerment activities, such as compliment chains and keychains.Through these experiences, I developed strong skills in leadership, collaboration, and creative facilitation while working closely with the Lalela community to inspire and uplift students through art and education.

Chosen to return to Boeing Huntington Beach as a college intern to organize, build, and lead the 2022 High School Internship Program, marking the first on-site internship since the Covid-19 pandemic. Successfully integrated virtual and in-person elements to create a unique and dynamic experience for students, with a primary goal of fostering an inclusive work environment.✦ Leadership & Mentorship: Led and advised 65 rising high school seniors across the Huntington Beach campus. I individually paired each student or small group with a Boeing employee mentor to ensure personalized guidance and support throughout the program.✦ Program Development: Designed and executed all aspects of the internship program, including behind-the-scenes planning, brainstorming sessions, setup, and cleanup. I prioritized problem-solving and management to ensure the program ran smoothly.✦ Engagement & Activities: Organized daily activities such as facility tours, alumni Q&A sessions, diverse guest speaker events, and student-led presentations. I also created opportunities for interns to build relationships and connect outside of work.✦ Collaboration: Worked closely with Boeing employees to coordinate events and cultivate a welcoming environment where interns could explore their passions, form lasting connections, and make the most of this opportunity.

✧ Virtual Internship: Worked under Ross Mishima in a virtual setting, gaining experience in engineering resources and enhancing team collaboration skills.✧ Team Leadership: Led and managed a team of interns to produce the program yearbook and newsletters. Utilized Google Drive for task organization and ensured strong communication within the group.✧ Creative Contributions: Merged my passion for art and inclusivity by designing thank-you cards, t-shirts, sweatshirts, newsletters, and yearbook elements. Also led an "Interns Teaching Interns" session on promoting autism acceptance, using authentic sources from autistic individuals.✧ Recognition: Awarded "Most Creative" at the end-of-program poster session in the category of Chemistry, Information & Analytics, and Material Science. Selected to return the following year to lead the 2022 high school program.
