I am currently a Year 3 class teacher at an Outstanding Primary school in Dubai. I deliver the British National Curriculum to a class of 23 pupils through innovative, inspiring and challenging lessons. 100% of the pupils speak English as an additional language.My role includes:- Planning and delivering outstanding lessons based around a Concept curriculum.- Ensuring the majority of my students make outstanding progress.- Setting high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.- Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.- Assisting with GLEE club and coaching singing, dancing and performing skills in preparation for performances and competitions. - Maintaining professional conduct.Establishing and maintaining strong and trusting relationships with Parents through email and social media platforms. - Tracking students’ progress rigorously analysed in depth on a regular basis very effectively. - Demonstrating an empathetic and deep understanding of culture and diversity in the UAE.- Participating in regular opportunities for professional development.My second role within the school is Deputy English leader. My role is to lead writing and ensure pupils are given intensive and valuable opportunities to write in school and develop their writing skills through various pedagogies within a concept curriculum.My role includes:

I completed my NQT and RQT year at Hopwood Primary School, which is an outstanding school, as a Year 4 Class Teacher. Roles and responsibilities- Ensuring all children made good progress by delivering outstanding lessons.- Coordinating activities and resources within the computing curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.- Liaising with teacher assistants in order 'team teach', interactive, multi sensory and inspiring lessons.- Leading Dance for the End of year musical production of 'Peter Pan'.- Teaching extra curricular dance lessons after school.- Working with parents and school governors to maximise their involvement in the school and the development of resources for the school.- Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and delivering 'learning together' sessions for parents.- Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment.

I visited Thailand with a group of 14 other volunteers from Leeds Becket University for a month. Within these four weeks, we visited 3 schools across Thailand and delivered exciting, dynamic and effective English lessons to children from ages 5 up to 15.The children we spend time with had very limited spoken language but we made a huge impact within the 5 days we spent in each school. As Primary Education student, I led my sub team by enriching the curriculum and directing the choice of pedagogy, enabling inclusive and differentiated session were delivered to all students.
