Before becoming a dental assistant at Cuozzo Orthodontics, I worked the front desk for two years. I was head of the front desk and I was the first face that greeted our patients when they walked into the office. Duties included in this task ranged from familiarizing myself with the inventory system, scheduling appointments, coordinating with insurance companies, creating financial contracts, and more as needed. In this role I adopted a customer-facing mindset and balanced this with fulfilling my daily duties. My last two years I have been a dental assistant. In this role, I work closely with the doctor and with our patients. I assist the orthodontists and registered dental assistants with whatever they may need to facilitate their appointment. To complete this task I have had to familiarize myself in-depth to the inner-workings of our office and learn how to best aid each practitioner.
