Oversee the administration, management, and promotion of the Sustainable Jersey municipal and schools certification programs.

Managed the day-to-day operations of the Sustainable Jersey certification programs. This included maintaining the program websites, overseeing the application intake and review processes, analyzing and reporting program performance measures, and coordinating outreach and participant support efforts. Developed and presented webinars on a variety of topics. Responsible for conference session coordination and presenting at numerous conferences and events.

Managed the Sustainable Jersey municipal and school certification programs, served as the primary point of contact for New Jersey municipalities participating in the Sustainable Jersey program. Provided program and technical assistance for municipalities and outside organizations about the program and certification process, and maintain the Sustainable Jersey and Sustainable Jersey for Schools websites and contact databases. Supported a variety of task forces including waste management, food, and green infrastructure, and gave presentations at a number of different events and conferences.

Worked on the WRAP program by performing waste audits, generating reports, and creating databases. Worked on an anti-idling campaign for the city by researching efforts in behavior change.

Baked, decorated, and created new cupcake flavors.

Supported Clean Energy Supercluser’s “State-Local Relations and the Transition to a Low Carbon Society: A Study of Colorado’s Clean Energy Economy” project. Interviewed high ranking municipal/state officials and private sector employees. Researched background/contextual information and prepared reports. Produced poster, “The Politics and Dynamics of Transitions: Lessons from Colorado’s New Energy Economy,” presented at the Colorado State University Clean Energy Expo, April 18, 2012.

Graded papers and exams, assisted with homework, held office hours

Mentored the interns with my CSU adviser, Michele Betsill, working on environment projects. In 2012 I also was involved with students working with the Climate Wise Program. I provided guidance on their projects. It was very rewarding to be able to give back to the program and internship that got me started in Colorado back in 2009.

Administrative responsibilities.

Researched NJ municipal climate policies and US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. Worked with the City of Fort Collins on the Community Climate Challenge project and contributed to marketing strategy. Produced poster “New Jersey Mayors for Climate Protection: The Challenge of Moving from Talk to Action.” Presented research findings at Graduate Student Colloquium at Colorado State University (Summer 2009), Earth Science Seminar at Millersville University (Fall 2009), Fifth Symposium on Policy and Socio-Economic Research during 90th Annual American Meteorological Society meeting (January 2010) .
