This past summer I worked at Camp NAC, where I got to work with kids, ages 3-15. I was in charge of about 12 kids weekly, and I cared for and entertained them daily. We did arts and crafts, sports, swimming, games, and other creative activities, such as dance parties. My role was to look after my group of kids, while also keeping them occupied throughout the day. I gained experience helping kids through daily struggles of homesickness, social development, friend disagreements, and decision-making. I had the opportunity to complete my Educational Studies internship, and the Camp NAC directors were amazing role models for this opportunity. I learned from many staff who work in both the Educational and Psychology fields, which was extremely beneficial for my future!
