Samantha Murray-Perdue, Phd Email and Phone Number
I am an Applied Developmental Psychologist focused on the transition to parenthood, interparental relationship functioning, and the influence of parent well-being on infant socioemotional development. My expertise and unwavering commitment to these foci are manifested in a career dedicated to applying early prevention science to supporting high-risk families and preventing the intergenerational transmission of poverty and family health disparities. I have been fortunate to gain research experience from multiple institutions and under the guidance of exceptional graduate and postdoctoral mentorship. While my research narrative continues to advance, my long-term passion for teaching psychology has further led to supplemented experiences in classrooms both at Notre Dame and Colorado State. These universities have each supported my well-rounded experience, encouraging my enthusiasm for continuing to study and teach about parent mental health and relationships, and applying expertise in a career focused on Prevention Science at Penn State.
