Senior Communications Executive
CurrentManchester Central is an award-winning venue that provides the backdrop to some of the world’s leading conference, exhibitions and events.As Senior Communications Executive my main responsibilities are to:• Work with Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications to develop tactical plans in response to business strategy• Strategically manage and develop Manchester Central’s suite of online comms channels; leading forward planning of content and day-to-day management of venue social media channels, monitoring sentiment, reputation and continually identifying and recommending opportunities for growth through effective measurement and evaluation of analytics• Support campaign activity by devising and implementing appropriate comms across key platforms• Manage and produce the venue podcast – Central Chat – forward planning to align with campaign/business priorities, securing guests, hosting and producing episodes • Co-ordinate programme of client, internal and wider stakeholder e-comms, planning and creating engaging content and managing databases• Work with colleagues across the business to identify ideas for content creation that support brand awareness, lead generation and key account management activity• Monitor, collate and analyse all e-comms and social media engagement to produce reports for the senior management team (SMT) and make recommendations for further improvement• Manage the comms inbox and respond to incoming enquiries. Assist colleagues with drafting complaint responses to ensure content and tone is appropriate and consistent• Oversee internal comms - drafting and issuing to ensure consistency in approach and tone of voice• Co-ordinate venue and event video and photography opportunities• Support the Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications with co-ordination of onsite press and media activity, liaison with the venue’s external PR team, upholding and rolling out the crisis comms procedure; supporting SMT should a crisis occur
