Colorwave is a non-profit focused on closing the racial wealth gap by connecting rising Professionals of Color to leadership opportunities at VC-backed startups. Over eight weeks, Colorwave Fellows commit 4-6 hours of weekly work and participate in intimate speaking events with leading VCs, entrepreneurs, tech executives, HR leaders, career coaches, and other industry leaders.

Under the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center, my team and I completed our SPP (capstone project) for the duration of two academic terms. During this consulting project, we helped Wasserman and The Collective understand sports fandom & participation in Gen-Z Women. Our extensive research allowed us to make recommendations for The Collective, as well as the brand clients Wasserman retains.

- Cross-collaborated with Wasserman employees and teams while managing the simultaneous completion of multiple projects for teams of the NHL, NFL, and NBA, as well as projects for industry leaders in technology, live events, and sports betting.- Used skills in Excel to analyze X-Channel (image recognition software) data that measured sponsorship valuation, exposures, and impressions across linear and social media channels.- Leveraged skills in storytelling & design to effectively present key insights to clients.

- Accepted through a competitive application process to a ten-week immersive program created as an alternative to internships that were canceled due to COVID-19. - Focusing holistically on the sports industry and complete with: weekly speakers, coordinated panels and intensive networking across various, organizations, industry leaders and peers with a shared interest.

Programs included CORE’s National Girls & Women in Sports Day Soccer Event, a multi-sport program for children with Autism (ASD), and a partnership with Project Hope Alliance to offer scholarships to homeless & displaced youth, all of which contributed to an increase in participant diversity by nearly 10%.Supervised all marketing and brand development, including social media platforms, competition tracking, web content, targeted email campaigns, award programs for participants, community events, and branding products (collectable bands & youth apparel), by analyzing data to increase retention of current participants and following trends to reach new clientele.Managed a team of 25-30 coaches & executives, and increased employee retention and opportunities for professional growth by creating new employee programs and changing company culture & values.Oversaw expansion and development of both in house and partnership programming by identifying & pitching 10 new initiatives to reach new populations, and fostering new partnerships resulting in 11 new after-school programs.Implemented a CRM for better client interaction and analysis and oversaw the recreation of the company website by utilizing my prior knowledge in HTML coding and outsourcing a graphic designer. Skills gained in: Patient care, prescription verification, HIPPA, DSM-V, customer service, time management, insurance verification, understanding of psychiatry, understanding of mental health, EMR, Powerpoint deck preparation, and payroll. As manager of a private practice for a renowned psychiatrist, known for his work with eating disorders, I learned the importance of access to care and the need for education on mental health. In addition to managing the private practice, I helped my employer to advocate for patient rights in regards to medical coverage for mental health purposes. Although this was not a full-time position, I worked an average of 30 hours/week during my two final years at UC Irvine (Bachelor's Degree).
