I am currently the clinic nurse coordinator within the outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic. I am responsible for providing care coordination for new and current patients. The care coordination duties I perform include, but not limited to: assistance with scheduling appointments, assistance with transportation coordination, assistance with setting up care out of state, assistance with coordinating all aspects of cancer treatment (i.e. lab work, imaging, central line placement, various testing needed prior to start depending on treatment type),taking phone calls from patients, symptom triage, assisting with patient medication requests, and assisting with any miscellaneous patient/provider questions or concerns.

I worked on the inpatient med-surg/oncology unit as a staff nurse. While working as an inpatient nurse, I provided direct patient care by performing shift assessments, performing medication administration, and chemotherapy administration.

Certified nursing assistant on the inpatient mental health unit. Duties included providing assistance to veterans with ADLs, passing out meal trays, performing 15 minute rounds to ensure veteran safety, monitoring unit cameras, and engaging with the veterans on the unit to encourage participation in various activities.
