My job role consists of careering for residents who live on the Davis Lewis site, which caters for a wide range of disabilities. Such as, autism, epilepsy and learning difficulties.

Working for the Vault at the Kirkstall brewery accommodation of Leeds Beckett University mainly entailed the role of a Marshall, this involves being the first point of contact for customers and enforcing COVID-19 safety measures. Whilst having a professional and welcoming customer orientated approach, I had to communicate effectively with a wide range of people to ensure the well-being of both the customers and team members.

Working for Beckett Hospitality instilled in me the ability to adapt to different roles as I was often tasked with performing cross-departmental duties. A pivotal part of this role was planning and serving meals to a fine-dining standard. An eye for detail was necessary as the role involved delivery of lunches that met specific customer dietary requirements. The role was substantially rewarding insofar as I was able to develop a range of skills in working against deadlines and collaborating with colleagues to provide the costumer with the best experience possible.

Working as a Barista at Costa Coffee has been highly beneficial for me both personally and professionally. Working for the 'nations favourite coffee shop' has meant that tasks have to be performed to brand standard to uphold the companies reputation under strict time restraints. The main tasks of the role entail greeting and serving customers, using the industrial coffee machines and processing transactions on the till. Whilst working in this fast-paced environment I had to uphold strict hygiene measures to ensure the customers safety, particularly throughout this pandemic.
