Hello! I have been a stay at home mom and I am very excited to get started into my career as a Child and Youth Support Worker! I cannot wait for the new skills I will learn in my future endeavors and the connections I will make in the community. Working with people is a strong passion of mine, especially with children. I have achieved my certificates in QPR, NVCI, Suicide Prevention and St. Johns Ambulance Standard First Aid Training with CPR-C and AED. I have been working with children for nearly 20 years (unofficially) and helping them where I could within my limits for many years, now I can bring my skills and experience to my career. I love helping my children and their friends through any struggles they may be facing in that moment with learning problem solving skills, and healthy communication strategies. Showing them how to work independently as well as in groups, sharing the skills I've learned through my years. Because of the life I enjoy living, I like to make sure my time is being managed efficiently allowing me to ensure all appointments and expectations are completed on time, keeping everything organized and ensuring I am meeting those goals for not just everyone's needs but my own self care as well.
