As an Auburn University graduate in psychology and counseling, I am eager to gain experience in working towards a future in the field of psychological counseling and therapy. I have experience in a variety of settings, including working in a psychopathology research lab, which has helped me learn about psychological data collection, organization, as well as fostered my critical thinking and analytical skills. Additionally, through my collective undergraduate work experience as a information desk assistant, freshman orientation counselor, and student-athlete tutor at Auburn University, I have gained innumerable skills such as strong communication, flexibility, problem solving, and leadership skills. Furthermore, my involvement on Auburn University's campus through the College of Liberal Arts, Student Athletic Development Services, and First Year Experience Office has provided me with an understanding of how to successfully work with diverse sets of individuals. While my undergraduate journey has been filled with opportunity and growth, I am a strong believer that my Psychology and Counseling education does not stop there. I strive to learn and care for others in the highest capacity and to continue that far into my career, as well as my personal life. I am looking forward to the opportunity to expand my network and facilitate that human connection as I pursue my M.A. in Counselor Education at The Ohio State University.
