As an AAC Consultant for PRC-Saltillo, I collaborate daily with Speech Language Pathologists, families, allied healthcare professionals, and school teams to share my knowledge and passion for AAC. I regularly support groups in learning more about alternative access methods (e.g. eye tracking, switch scanning, etc.) through community training dates. PRC-Saltillo’s vocabulary systems and devices allow users to share their independent thoughts and ideas with the world and I am grateful to assist users in acquiring and setting up their communication and access systems!

In this clinical role, I supported English and Spanish speaking pediatric and adult clients improve their speech and language skills with the ultimate goal of connecting better with their communities. I supported clients with articulation disorders, receptive language disorders, expressive language disorders, and specialized in providing appropriate clients with high tech AAC systems, including: Saltillo, PRC, Tobii-Dynavox, and Forbes products.

I worked part-time at Active Life, an orthotics and prosthetics facility in Albuquerque, NM. I managed patient files, facilitated the exchange of medical information between referring medical providers, and coordinated and advertised the company's continuing education courses for local physical and occupational therapists.
