I am an extremely passionate and dedicated individual with over 7 years community involvement working, volunteering and collaborating with diverse communities and individuals who face multiple barriers, systemic oppression, discrimination and marginalization. I always receive comments on how my passion and belief in the social work field shine through in my conversations and are reflected in my work. I actively embrace a strengths-based and harm reduction framework, while using anti-oppressive principles, recognizing the inseparable nature of the often-distinguished “micro” and “macro” practice. I hold many interests in the social services field, but I hold a specialized interest and training in the areas of trauma, mental health, addictions/substance use, homelessness and the criminal justice system. I have experience working across all life transitions (i.e. children.
