• Responsible for project development, management, and oversight for a variety of organizational and operational activities and special initiatives. • Organize and execute all athletic department events. • Execute all game contracts and scheduling of contests. Coordinate all aspects related to game officials. • Maintain the Director of Athletics calendar, schedule appointments, prepare agendas, materials, and data for meetings, and make travel arrangements. • Provide assistance to coaches, staff, student-athletes, media, and other customers in the absence of the Director of Athletics. • Be a liaison to Human Resources on all hiring activities. Develop and execute all new employee orientation. • Assist with coordination and serve on coaching and staff searches; complete selection recommendations paperwork, including all documentation. Prepare and review coach’s contracts with legal counsel. • Supervise the department’s payroll and signatory approval on departmental time sheet certification and appointment forms. • Hire, supervise and evaluate all student staff that work within the business operation. • Determine and assign workload to UAW, students, and non-UAW staff members and coaches. • Assess and develop departmental policies and procedures based on university standards and industry trends, as well as provide interpretation of instructions, policies, and procedures. • Assist Assistant Athletic Director- NCAA Compliance and student-athlete Academic Success, as needed. • Assist the Manager of Budget and Planning with budget development and monitoring expenditures to maintain fiscal integrity.• Assist the Manager of Budget and Planning and the Director of Athletic Marketing with budgetary and invoicing in advertising and marketing areas. • Assist with development, execution, and implementation of strategic plans. • Other duties as assigned.
