Taught "Ethics and Values in Social Work Practice" in SLU's MSW program

Working primarily with children and adolescents, offering individual therapy, collaborating with their families, educators, and other involved with them. Work also includes adult clients as well as running psychosocial groups there as well (ACT work with Parents of Children who experience trauma, and DBT Life Skills groups).

I work closely with two professional artists to handle the business end of their creative process. Along with creating a new contact management database using FileMaker Pro, I draft/edit documents, brainstorming marketing ideas, and research potential venues for their work.

Choices Counseling and Consulting offers therapeutic services for a variety of psychological and emotional needs for women and men, children and adolescents. Services include Individual Therapy, Couples Counseling, Family Therapy, and Group Counseling. The staff at Choices have received specialized training in issues related to relationships, sexuality, sexual orientation and gender identity & expression. This includes working with lesbian and gay couples, heterosexual couples, bisexuals involved in gay or straight relationships, and any individual or couple struggling with issues related to sexuality, relationship intimacy, and coming out.

Family Stablization Services. Working with families and children (ages 5-18), coordinating with other clinicians, case workers, therapeutic mentors, school personnel.

Assist with program development, maintenance; act as a representative of the Pride Center at community events; attend and facilitate trainings and groups as required. Maintain caseload with individuals, couples, and families from the LGBTQ community under the supervision of Arlene Lev.

Case management for elders, primarily those living independently at an elder residence. Organized and ran weekly psychoeducational groups on topics such as mail and phone fraud, Medicare Part D, nutritional and exercise information and participatory meetings. Providing leadership, skill building, and role playing for the residence bingo committee in order to improve attendance and reduce conflict at events.

Working the Crime Victims Assistance Program I do intakes for new clients, victim advocacy, and answering the Rape Crisis and Crime Victims Hotline.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services provider. Cognitive-behavioral work with adolescents on 1:1 basis in various settings. Collaborative approach working with family, school, other advocates.

Taught childbirth preparation and refresher classes.
