With a career that spans multiple sectors, industries and departments, I have a natural ability to adapt and find the right solution for the setting. I have a history of developing and executing systems & strategies that drive business, people and cultural growth regardless of the sector or industry. Starting off my career with Corus (now Tata Steel) in Redcar, Teesside in the heavy end of steelmaking after completing a BEng Manufacturing Engineering, I eventually moved away from traditional engineering and into Business Process Reengineering, focussing on developing and implementing IT systems.It was my move to Corus UK Distribution, where I was responsible for the IT Processes of all of the Strip Steel, Hot Rolled and Building Systems Businesses, that I really developed a deeper understanding of developing and implementing processes that were effective for both business performance and the end user.Since those early days I have worked on many exciting projects with a number of prestigious clients varying across sectors and industries including:• Sanctuary Housing Group - Social Housing Sector• Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Ltd- Maintenance Contractor• Hagemeyer UK – Electrical goods stockholder• VOSA- Vehicle Operator Standards Agency- Government Organisation• Atos UK Consulting- Consulting Organisation• Arup Consulting- Construction ConsultingI joined Benbow Steels as a Director permanently in 2018 to design, develop and implement systems and solutions to enable the company to double its turnover from £12m to £24m within 2 years. This makes it now one of the largest independent colour coated steel stockholders in the country.
