I led an exciting project in Pembrokeshire for ARG UK called 'Adders are Amazing!'. It focussed on the St Davids peninsula and aimed to engage the local community with their local Adder population. Adders are declining throughout the UK and this public engagement project aimed to dispel myths, educate and uplift the community to help conserve this important species into the future, using science, creative arts and hands on conservation work. The project was a great success and the outputs will help ARG UK with further adder conservation work across the UK.

I worked with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) at Stackpole in Pembrokeshire on various projects. One of my main tasks was to collate, check, update and manage the site's water Chemistry data. I assisted with any data organisation and analysis that was required, set up and managed a database for monitoring site flora, as well as helping out on site on practical jobs and species monitoring (bats, reptiles, birds, invertebrates, plants).

I worked with a group of local expert ecologists through Biodiversity Solutions, a social enterprise company which helps support research and practical action for biodiversity related projects in South West Wales. I worked as senior ecologist within the group.

I worked as an ecologist through my company, One Planet Works, as well as with a group of other consultants at Biodiversity Solutions in Pembrokeshire. I undertook ecological survey work, including bat, Great Crested Newt and Dormouse surveys, as well as specialising in pond and wetland surveys, amphibians and reptile ecology and surveys, ecological assessments for development works (such as wind turbine planning applications and building developments), Phase 1 habitat surveys and other botanical survey work.

Working with local farmers in a rural area of central India to help them move towards more sustainable farming practices. Linking up with local organic farming schemes and organising training events for the farmers. Fundraising.

I was responsible for managing two projects at rECOrd: Unlocking the Past and the Halton Bluebell BAP project.

I worked as a Study Skills Adviser within the Learning Support Department of the University of Chester for 2 years. I provided one-to-one support for individual students and groups, as well as workshops on various aspects of graduate and post-graduate level study skills, including essay writing, time management, writing using academic style, note making, scientific writing, structuring reports, referencing and stress management.
