As the Head Teacher of a Pre-K Class I am responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for my students. I lead them in daily lessons and activities that span a range of topics including letter and number recognition, phonics, and name writing. In addition to those core educational principles, we have monthly units such as basic anatomy, continental exploration, and astronomy. I work with my fellow Pre-K team to plan exciting and relevant curriculum for the students. I assess them on a regular basis to track their social-emotional behavior, communication styles, and fine motor skills. I work hard to foster strong relationships with the parents of my students to create a well-rounded support network for them!

For just under two years I worked as a co-teacher at Pipster Prep where I had a variety of responsibilities. I worked as a teammate to the Head Teachers in the classroom, assisted with daily transitions, and helped create a positive learning environment for the students.

I was contacted by Denik to design the interior pages of a "new parent notebook", a journal where parents can record special moments with their kiddos. The illustrations are featured alongside a handful of prompts that encourage the reader to reflect, share, and record. In addition to an array of spot illustrations, I also created some patterns that could fill designated spaces throughout the notebook.

I was contacted by Passion Planner to join a collaboration of artists for their 2021 Sticker Book. Their sticker books are designed to accompany the use of their broad selection of planners and notebooks. For their 2021 edition, they specifically wanted to create a sticker book that could also serve as a coloring book. For this reason, the designs are left in black and white with the intention of being colored in by the user. I designed four pages for this project with a variety of themes: coastal tide pools, fruits + veggies, mushrooms, and bugs.

Topaz Farm contacted me to design a map for their 2021 season. This map would help guide guests around the farm and showcase the specific areas of interest on the farm, such as the corn maze and turtle pond. This map became a physical staple on the farm for the remainder of the year.

I worked as a camp counselor for the summer of 2019 in the "Squirrels Nest", which was the program for 3-5 year olds. I planned crafts, facilitated group learning sessions, and led nature walks around the camp grounds.

I worked as a small group teacher for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders for the 2017-2018 school year. I tutored them in literature to advance their reading levels and would regularly asses them on their proficiency. I also began an Art Club as part of the after school program where I fostered a love for creativity in the students. I taught them basic drawings skills and we explored a variety of mediums.

At AmeriCares, I worked closely with the HR team as they transitioned to a new talent management system called Cornerstone on Demand. I worked as a babysitter for a local family with two children. I drove them to and from activities and played with them at their house. While they were occupied during the day, I worked with the mother to organize the house and assist in projects that ranged from filing documents to researching creative and alternative ways to use common household products.

I ennforced rules and regulations of the camp grounds in order to maintain discipline and ensure safety. I met with other staff members to discuss and resolve problems and complaints that would arise within the camp community.
