I am a recent grad of Nazareth College with degrees in Spanish and Inclusive Adolescent Education with a minor in business management. I am now currently pursuing my Master's degree in elementary education at the University of Rochester I am very family-oriented, have a love for the outdoors, and a passion for traveling. I have experience working with children of different ages, backgrounds, and disabilities. After studying abroad in Spain, I have improved my Spanish language skills and learned about the culture. While abroad I got the chance to travel to many other countries, this experience helps me to understand different cultures and think more globally and from different perspectives. These are skills that I can implement in a classroom and help with teaching students based on my experiences. I have worked closely with students, parents, and teachers to help implement the best teaching styles for students. I am accustomed to working with students who have IEPs and implementing those into my teaching style. It is important to me to establish relationships with my students to be able to teach them in a manner that is most effective for them to learn. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. I always loved learning and going to school and I want to be able to share my love for learning with others. Spanish was particularly my favorite class in high school. I loved that my Spanish classes had a little more freedom and many times we had interdisciplinary lessons. It was a fun class where we got to talk, and play games and learn about history and culture as well as language. I want to be able to run my classroom this way. Have a fun learning environment where the students have some freedoms to do hands-on style learning. I aim to be able to teach my students about language, history, and culture in a fun, supportive learning environment. Most importantly I strive to help and support my students and their families in any way that I can.
