I am a Reader in Applied Linguistics at the University of Bath and an Adjunct Professor at Khazar University, Azerbaijan. I earned my DPhil in Education (Applied Linguistics) from the University of Oxford, where I also completed two MSc degrees. My research explores English Medium Instruction (EMI), bilingual education, and language learning psychology. I have published widely and I have received multiple awards, including the University of Bath’s Doctoral Recognition Award (2023/24) and the Recognising Excellence Award (2021/22).
