Hello! I'm majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Communication Studies. I am nervous, but excited for the future I have ahead of me. Feeling lost as a Journalism major I made the switch to PR and can say it felt like the right decision. My work history is still slim to none, but I hope to land an internship in the near future.I have always had a love for all things fashion and travel. Recently I have leaned more into travel and tourism PR as I am an immigrant born in the Philippines, a known travel destination. It has sparked my interests in working with travel/tourist guides and companies and seeing what can be done to better retain tourists and withstand competitors. More specifically, I am interested in Corporate Social Responsibility as an area of practice. I want to better understand what CSR means in Travel and Tour as well as what I can do as a future PR practitioner who wants to delve into this field.
