As a CIPD qualified professional, I operate as the Group HR Manager delivering across seven business units, Business Partnering the Senior Management Teams in each location to maximise people and commercial results through the engagement of 400 employees.My career path through all the different aspects of HR put me in an ideal position to move in to a role responsible for directly driving customer service, brand management and sales, adding first hand commercial experience to my portfolio. Being a Visual Merchandise Manager (John Lewis Department Stores) allowed me to lead and develop a team who had the ability to impact the bottom line of a customer focused and sales driven company. Whilst in the role I was able to drive an increase in productivity, a reduction of man-hours, increased sales, improved KPI rankings in key categories, reduced costs on implementing brand campaigns and management of talent, both upwards and across. All this whilst achieving 100% employee satisfaction for the last two out of the three years in post. I fully embraced my return to the HR field with an invaluable commercial insight, experience of direct people leadership and a credible skill set to support driving Business Partnering within a HR Manager role.Throughout my career the common theme of feedback has been about my ability to see the bigger picture, the vision of what an end goal looks like and the talent to plan and scope the steps to get there. I enjoy tackling challenges head on and questioning how we can do things differently to get a different, better result.
