About Samantha Perry

Welcome to my profile! I’m Sam, and I’m a third year Midwifery student at the University of Southampton.I am passionate about advocating for people from all walks of life, and am channelling this passion into the care I provide for women. Currently I am President of the Midwifery Society at the University, and it is a privilege to help our fellow students.Having previously worked in customer facing roles, I realised my strengths around people centred work. I care for people, and wanted to be able to further advocate for them.In 2020 I was awarded the 3 year University of Southampton Ignite Bursary and am currently partaking in an internship with the University as an aspect of this programme.I enjoy playing team sports including Rugby, Ice Hockey and Football, am a keen reader (when I find the time), enjoy spending time with family and friends (when not locked down), and love to travel.
