My involvement with ACS has given me the opportunity to surpass fundraising goals, cultivate relationships within community and corporations in the Chicago and Chicagoland market, lead and coach teams of volunteers, and coordinate professional events to further the mission of the American Cancer Society. Walk & Roll began 45 years ago and is the American Cancer Society's oldest fundraising event in Illinois. Participants choose to walk or run 5K, skate 10K, or bike 15K along Chicago's lake front to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society. The event celebrates cancer survivors and caregivers, guests are treated to entertainment and activities and participants are encouraged to picnic in the park.
