I co-teach Public Health Law & Ethics in the Masters of Public Health Program, of which I am an alumna.

I represent and counsel health care providers in regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. My experience includes drafting, editing and negotiating contracts related to physician employment, joint ventures and other arrangements, health care mergers and acquisitions, and commercial ventures. My regulatory experience includes counseling on hospital operations, medical staff issues, changes in ownership, regulatory licensing, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), as well as federal and state fraud and abuse laws.I bring a diverse perspective to my representation of hospitals, physician groups, long-term care organizations, group purchasing organizations, and pharmacies.

Hospital operations attorney supporting Hahnemann University Hospital, a tertiary care academic medical center, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, a pediatric hospital. Work closely with executive officers to provide regulatory counseling. Regularly advise company executives with respect to physician arrangements, contracting, policy development, medical staff issues, and federal and state fraud and abuse laws, including Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark. Provide counsel to the hospitals’ Governing Boards.

Associate in the Health Sciences Department of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office. Practice focus in health care regulatory and corporate law matters. My practice focused on health care law, counseling physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, long-term care organizations, retail specialty and long-term care pharmacies, and group purchasing organizations. I counseled health care companies on regulatory matters affecting health care transactions, and advises clients in the areas of federal and state fraud and abuse laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark, false claims, and civil monetary penalties, as well as licensing and change of ownership/control.
