I got involved and obtained a contract in order to get some installed in both of our buildings as well as created and posted First Aid, CPR, AED, BBP trained employees contacts in case of an emergency. 3. Gas Cylinders.The gas cylinders location was previously in an un-ventilated room that was not compliant with OSHA standards. I was able to find a new location that was well ventilated and get all of the racks moved as well as a backup rack in the lab in order to be safe as well as compliant with standards. 4. Waste Water System.I was able to meet with a contractor to talk about updating the current system and how it operates. I wrote up a training packet power point in order to educate others on how the somewhat outdated system works. I was able to get a start on beginning the process of purchasing a new system and what that looks like. 5. Standard Operating Procedures.I wrote up five different SOPs for EHS. They are: SAF0014 – Safe Work PermitSAF0018 – Confined Space Entry ProgramSAF0025 – Hot Work ProgramSAF0022 – Fire Prevention ProgramSAF0023 – Machine GuardingI was able to learn about the pharmaceutical industry and was able to work closely with those in Document Systems, Technical Services Group, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facilities and Maintenance. I was a caretaker for a disabled girl who had a plethora of health issues including epilepsy and cerebral palsy. I had the responsibility to take care of her, this included dealing with seizures and administering medications.
