I am an award - winning human rights defender and internationally recognized speaker who has been working in the area of disability for over eight years. I am the founder of Signs of Hope Trust, an award-winning grassroots non-profit that champions the rights of people with disabilities. The organization facilitates scholarships, helps schools establish libraries, lobbies and raises awareness on disability. I am currently the Chairperson of the Mandela Washington Fellowship Disability Inclusion Knowledge Network, Chapter Co-Chair of the Catalyst2030 Zimbabwe Chapter, I also sit on the Deaf Women Included Board. Additionally, I am a Mandela Washington Fellow (2019 - University of Delaware), Former President of the Young African Leaders Initiative (Zimbabwe Chapter) and one of the GoGetter Movement Founding 100. These are phenomenal young women recognized for their work in communities. My current studies are in Inclusive Education at the Zimbabwe Open University, with the support of the Wells Mountain Initiative (USA). I am interested in Digital Rights, Access to Information, Freedom of Expression, Assistive Technology, Disability Rights, Women's Rights, Economic Justice, Financial Inclusion and Inclusive Practices.

Representative On Inclusion Of Women And Persons With DisabilitiesTalent Explorer In Nguboyenja Apr 2015 - Apr 2016Bulawayo, ZimbabweTalent Explorer in Nguboyenja (TEN) is a 2 - day annual event held in the township of Nguboyenja in Bulawayo. The main purpose of the event is to nurture and search for talent in the marginalised communities of Bulawayo. Participants compete in TEN disciplines including street soccer, netball, dance etc. The event also has theater and music performances for two nights. Attendance and participation are free as a drive to expose artists to a new clientele and also to give the public access to Arts Initiatives. As a representative for women and girls i ensure participation of women and persons with disabilities in the event. There was significant growth of the participation of women who have a netball event at the event. Persons with disabilities workshops have been running for the two years i have been involved, in 2014, TEN hosted researchers from Austria who showcased their technology which will help persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe. 2016 saw us registering free ICT skills education for persons with disabilities.
