Created and directed a first in the nation campaign to improve girls’ body image and self-esteem.A veteran of Mayor Bloomberg’s press shop, I served as the Deputy Press Secretary overseeing New York City’s health and human service agencies and was the communications lead on major policies and initiatives, including the proposal to limit the size of sugary beverages, smoking cessation programs and our work on homeless services, children’s services and juvenile justice reform. This role included crisis communications, media and government relations. I also served as creator and director of the New York City Girls Project, a first in the nation campaign to improve girls’ body image and self-esteem. The campaign achieved international coverage and I launched a similar successful campaign in Washington, DC.
