I am a senior studying at Washington State University’s Civil & Environmental Engineering Program located at the Tri-Cities campus in Richland, WA. My expected graduation is May 2021, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from WSU. Most recently, I worked as a Forest Engineer Intern with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources during the summer of 2020. I gained knowledge and experience in traversing, forest road planning, forest practices, logging practices and rules. I spent 30-40 hours in the field weekly for 3 months, hiking from 1 – 8 miles daily. Before attending WSU, I received an Associate in Science Degree, focused in Civil Engineering from Clark College in August 2018. I was an active participate in the Associated Student of Clark College (ASCC). I was the President of the Outdoor & Recreation Club/Program. In 2017, I received The Oswald Award at Clark College for my overall student leadership and contribution to the community. Also, I personally volunteer with many organizations in my local community, Friend of Trees, Why Racing, and STEM Programs. Under my leadership, the Outdoor & Recreation Club volunteered over 300 hours in 1 academic year. This amazing opportunity gave me the ability to share my knowledge and love of the outdoors and volunteering with students.
