While working as a pharmacist she discovered her passion for empowering others and self-development which lead her to begin volunteering with the Islamic Center of Vermont and MPAC – Muslim Political Action Committee. She also served on the board of the Minaret Academy and was a key member of the founding board of New Horizon Elementary School of Irvine which helped build and establish an accredited school from what was only a vision into a reality.In 2010 she started DZ Pharmacy Management Company to offer pharmacy management training and state accreditation. In 2011, Samar and her sister, Sahar Aziz co-founded SABIL USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to help the underprivileged, homeless, and refugee populations in Orange County, California. Samar has received outstanding awards for her contribution, support and dedication in serving on the board of New Horizon School, Irvine, Ca. for the Minaret Academy. She’s also been awarded from the Arab American council for her leadership to Arab community; as well as from the Syrian Sunrise Foundation for supporting refugees; and finally, from other organization for her philanthropic work in her community.Inspired by world-renown self-development programs, Dr. Samar Aziz has enhanced her own self-development training & certifications with Jack Canfield, Steven Covey on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, NLP - Neurolinguistic Programming, Bob Proctor Seminars, PSI - Personal Self-Improvement Training, and Advanced Reiki & Mindful Training from UCI. Samar is Reiki Master certified, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) certified, and PSI (Postpartum Support International) trained. Among her accomplishments, she is most recognized for inspiring the youth and building trust among cross-cultural and faith communities and uplifting anyone in need. She continues to invest in exploring the best of international expert training and enjoys sharing what she’s learned back into her own community.
