From the beginning of Summer 2021, following my completion of secondary school (along side beginning A-Levels), I began working at Taco Bell as a Team Member, consistently working with others to achieve a speedy service for customers, solving any issues too. As my first experience officially working, I was thankful to maintain the job with no issues. My first job strongly aided development in communication skills, reduced anxiety while talking to strangers, and allowed me to apply my vast set of skills in a fast-paced working environment. I would constantly have to maintain a level head during stressful peak times, while always ensuring to treat others with respect, despite any stress.Following my resignation in May 2022, I was successful in interviewing for a new job at the Doncaster Racecourse, in the role of a Steward. With it being my second job, after having worked consistently for a relatively long period of time, I was already confident working in a public setting – finding myself excelling in; my communication skills, my ability to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as de-escalating hostile situations (commonly arising in an environment well known for its drinking culture). Further to this, I have unofficially worked at a family restaurant, honing my people skills, while being able to confidently serve as a waiter and work to suit the needs of a customer. I've always worked hard and maintained a healthy work-life-study balance, which I find to be an integral part of my life as a full-time student.Furthermore, throughout my student life, I have consistently worked hard to achieve higher grades, while maintaining a positive relationship with all teachers and peers throughout this time. I have worked hard to remain motivated and found a focus in teamwork and communication with those who I work with – inspiring and pushing them to do their best. All of my work paid off at the end of secondary education; I received Grade 9's in Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biology, along with Grade 8's in History, French, Maths, English Language, English Literature and Physics. My success continued into June 2023, when I completed my A-Levels in Computer Science, Maths and Chemistry. In the present, I have begun my journey at the University of Exeter, studying a degree in MSci Computer Science – with intention to eventually work in the Software Engineering sector. So far, I'm already extremely proficient in programming with Python (especialy in the OOP programming paradigm), while also being quite familiar with HTML, CSS, SQL and Git.
