I have been teaching Science, Biology since 2013, I have started teaching in Dubai since 2015. (I have 4 years of Biology teaching experience for grades 11 and 12: Advanced and AP Biology courses) Also, I have a one year experience as a Science coordinator (roles are detailed in the CV) and another 1 year of leading experience as a head of science department for middle and high school. I also taught Physics subject for G9 students for 2 years and thus enriched my knowledge in varied fields and improved my skills as well as a leader in all science subjects. I'm currently teaching AP Biology for grade 12 as well as Physics for grade 11.As a teacher, my main goal is helping my students acquire 21stcentury skills. I strive to provide students with a stimulating, challenging, and healthy learning environment that will allow them to become active participants in their learning experience. My classes are designed with diverse groups of students in mind. These classes become more successful as student diversity increases because both, the students and I, are presented with a more vivid array of life experiences and knowledge. With my diverse background, I embrace the challenges and joys of teaching students who need passionate teachers. The integration of technology is a main skill in my teaching and preparing my students for the university is one of my top priorities.As a Leader, I'm qualified to teach and train my team at degree level across all Key Stages, ensure that all young people make at least expected progress and that ambitious targets for student performance are met in all Key Stages, I have enthusiasm for Science (especially Biology) and an ability to communicate it to the students, competent in ICT and willing to develop its use within the department, I have the ability to lead and work within a team and give fruitful results, lead the strategic direction and development of the subject area, create a positive climate and a shared understanding of the importance of Science within the school, and of the short, medium and longer term plan for its development, identify and promote best practice within the subject departments and coordinate cross-curricular initiatives such as Science in the News projects and continue to develop an innovative and progressive curriculum in Science lessons which is supported by a vibrant program of extracurricular and enrichment activities.
