Ms. Samar Erum Nadeem is a results-oriented professional with more than 20 years of experience in gender program management, social policy analyses, program evaluation and capacity building. She provides expert management and institutional services to donor funded development assistant programs. For example, as Gender Advisor on the $97 M USAID/Pakistan-funded Performance Management Support Contract, Ms. Nadeem lent her skillset to the design and implementation of gender assessments and audits, action planning, and capacity-building and learning interventions, studies, and analyses across the various technical sectors of USAID/Pakistan offices. Additionally, Ms. Nadeem has a rich experience of guiding gender integration in planning and implementation of large-scale programs in the field of governance, legal assistance, peace building and crises prevention, livelihood development, and national development strategies. For example, as Program Officer at the United Nations Women Country Office in Pakistan, and Gender specialist Gender and Governance Program, UNDP Ms. Nadeem ensured the effective delivery of the UN Women and UNDP’s economic empowerment and human rights programming by strengthening coordination with federal ministries, the National Commission on the Status of Women, and provincial departments in all Pakistani provinces. The nature of her past assignments necessitated challenging managerial and leadership abilities to ensure the success of these projects. Her experience working with multiple systems including, Provincial governments, ADB, UN, GIZ, and USAID, gives her an added advantage to comprehend the intricacies of the development paradigm in Pakistan and has also enhanced her malleability skills.
