Oversees all aspects of Mason’s University Records Management program, including records management policies and procedures, the identification and assessment of university records, and the maintenance and disposition of such records as required by state disposition schedules. Consults with the Office of University Counsel and Office of Compliance, Diversity, and Ethics to review and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the management of university records, regardless of format. Ensures records compliance with all pertinent local, state, and federal records requirements such as the VPRA, HIPAA, and FERPA. Provides a systematic outreach plan that promotes the program on all campuses, including Mason Korea. Develops and implements a required training program for University staff in techniques and procedures.Supervises the Records Management Specialist, who is responsible for the operations of the University Records Center and the supervision of temporary wages and student wages staff in the Records Center.Communicates with vendors providing records management services, products, and technological support.
