Formulary Operation Specialist

• The primary responsibilities include creating and maintaining client formularies, consistently communicating with account management teams to implement client requests, customizing formulary builds to client specifications, working closely with drug information teams and pharmacists to determine drug coverage setups based on safety and efficacy of the drugs as well as cost effectiveness for both clients and patients, processing weekly reports on brand new drugs or already existing drugs, addressing and researching answers for any questions and concerns about formulary and drug setups, management and organization of large amounts of data, and participating in projects to improve internal processes and workflows of the formulary operations team• Experience in testing updates and enhancements to propriety formulary software and filling out testing grids• Experience as lead tester for a new workflow system; worked closely with the developer and business analyst to determine business requirements for the project and to create solutions to hurdles to testing or problems with the software, created testing grids, testing based both on testing grids and on user stories, oversaw other testers and guided them through the new system, gave updates on progress of the new system to other teams• Experience in Excel, proprietary formulary creation and management software, proprietary pharmacy claims software, Portal Manager, QlikView Team Foundation Server, and BI Launch Pad
