Histotechnician
CurrentThrough the contacting company MSC, I work in the Department of Laboratory Medicine of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The prestigious facility focuses on diagnosing and researching rare blood diseases found in bone marrow. My main duties include accessioning, assigning, and distributing cases to the pathologists daily for diagnosis. My duties also include preparing for weekly bone marrow conferences, making slides as needed, organizing/filing medical records daily. I basically do many integral tasks and assist the doctors and technologists to keep things running more smoothly throughout the day.
