Ensure correct and swift disbursement of loans to studentsCoordinated and led the allocations and uploads of over 1,700 bursaries to studentsTrack departmental spending, raise and approve Purchase Orders and Invoices.

The first port of call for students to access University support services; signpost to internal and external specialised support. Provide support on a range of matters that may affect a student's personal or academic life such as: Homesickness, Attendance issues, ECs, Taking a break , Pregnancy, Traumatic events.Assess applications to the Learning Support Fund (financial hardship) and sit on the decision panel.Work with a number of teams across the Student Support and Success Department, in particular the Students and Money team with the Hardship funds, and staff across the faculties.In addition to the role I pushed for, and led in the creation of the Social Media channels, using Canva, Meta Business Suite, and video editing programmes. Oversee the running of lessons, ensure they run smoothly and adhere to guidelines. Support teachers on poolside with their lessons and personal development, complete any admin required for the lessons.

Ensure the Covid-19 precautions and guidelines are being followed during lessons, register the swimmers at the start of the lessons and ensure a health declaration form has been completed. Be on hand to contact parents/guardians should it be required for any reason.Support the lessons supervisor and staff team with lessons.

Qualified ASA Level 1 & 2 Teaching Aquatics, teaching children from complete beginners up to competitive club level.Termly assessment and report writing for the lessons swimmers.Qualified ASA Level 1 Coaching Swimming, coaching junior squads independently, assistant with coaching of senior/performance squads.Non regular/out of university term time employee September 2016 - July 2020. The President of the University of York Students' Union (YUSU) is elected to represent the views and interests of 19,000 students. Responsible for coordinating and planning campaigns with the Sabbatical Officer team, for the reputation, leadership and direction of YUSU as a democratic organisation. Regularly engage with the student body through the use various social media platforms and other methods to communicate more widely, including close contact with the Colleges and their student led committees. Meet with student media (newspapers, TV and radio) for quotes and interviews, as well as some regional and national media. Chair the YUSU Trustee Board and sit on all sub-committees. A member of University Council and sit as a representative for students on various committees to the University.Communicate and collaborate with senior members of University staff, including the Vice-Chancellor and University Executive Board, and key leaders in the local community. Some achievements:-Secured commitment for purpose-built student-focused, multi-functional facilities on campus-Involvement with the recruitment and appointment for a Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Faculty, and the YUSU Community Manager-Involved in the development of the University’s 2030 strategy-Negotiated the use of the withheld pay from industrial action-Negotiated more affordable rent prices-Lobbied for clearer communications to students regarding developments within the UniversityDuring the Covid-19 Pandemic:-Involved in the crisis management of the Union, and University -Spoke at a live TV press conference with the Vice-Chancellor on the first UK case of Coronavirus, a student at the University-Attended Union Emergency Management Team 3 times weekly meetings, and weekly meetings with the Vice-Chancellor-Involved in business critical decisions on furloughing, finances and the future-Led the organisation of the AGM, the transition of it to an online meeting

Member of the University of York Council.As the President of the Students' Union I sit on the University Council as a Trustee of the University.In accordance with the Charter and Statutes, the University’s governing body is the Council. The Council is ultimately responsible for ensuring there is effective management in place for the institution and for agreeing its future development.The Council meets four times each year and also holds a strategic away day at the start of each new academic session.

Run activities for children's sport parties: swimming, football and multi-sport.Games for a variety of sports, for different ages (3-12 years old) and group sizes.

Tour guide and host for prospective students and parents.Led tours around campus and supported a short workshop for prospective students.Acted as an ambassador for the department and University as a whole.
